Starting as a simple warm up/down exercise, this 'project' quickly found a life of its own. Sketches became illustrations, which led to even more illustrations. Before I knew it I was making up new rules, testing, designing a box and looking for a printer, until a classic game had been fully re-imagined almost by accident! All this work was done over three-and-a-half months, in the evenings and at weekends.

Commisioned by Studio 05 and Amsterdam Worldwide
I was commissioned to work on marketing campaign to invigorate new interest in the world famous attraction. In just 7 weeks I created five characters, made two motion comics and designed a huge banner. I have wanted to do a parallax project for a while so I was excited to tackle the project. Everyone is pleased with the end result. I hope you like it too.
Noir Detective Comic in bold colour.
Based on once famous pulp hero Sexton Blake. This is an ongoing private project exploring sequential design. I am working with writer Kate Watson.
The brief was to illustrate a range of food and drink items to be used as part of a website that builds a wine taste profile based on comparative taste preferences. They needed to be appetising, clearly readable and in a consistent watercolour style.
All the illustrations were done exclusively in Photoshop from sketch to final. It was tempting to do these in natural media but the speed and flexibility of Photoshop is ideal for a client on a limited budget. Changes are easily implemented and adjustments to the client's taste or for consistency are quickly made. The final result felt fresh and appealing.
This Project goes live in Dec and will be updated with implementation images and more information then.

Client : STUDIO 05 / Yippie Project : Brand Character Design
STUDIO 05 asked me to design a robot character based on the logo of Yippie. Yippie is an app and online price comparison tool. The robot had to be charming and high-tech, can fly and be friendly without being too childish. Using the company logo and working with a digital display for the face I designed a modular character that could animate to reveal arms and other tools and gadgets.
